Mindray Acquires Ulco Medical

Mindray Medical International Ltd (NYSE: MR, “Mindray”) is pleased to announce that it has recently acquired Ulco Medical Pty. Ltd. (“Ulco”), an Australia-based former distributor of Mindray.

Established in 1964, Ulco is renowned for supplying innovative and reliable medical products of superior quality. Prior to the acquisition, Ulco has been serving as Mindray’s distributor for patient monitoring and life support products since 2007.

Under the agreement, Mindray gains access to Ulco’s established sales and service capabilities in the Oceania market. Mindray will leverage its global platform to support Ulco’s future development in the region. Upon completion of the acquisition, Ulco will be consolidated as Mindray’s branch office in Australia and renamed Mindray Medical Australia, but the company will maintain its existing operations. We expect to use Ulco’s comprehensive sales and services capabilities to further strengthen our market presence in Australia, New Zealand and other Oceania islands.
